| Abstract: | Histopathology is the science of studying the changes brought about in the human body by disease, and identifying the disease and its cause, so that appropriate treatment can be given to the patient. Histotechnology is concerned with the processing and preparation of the tissue of the body in such a manner as to enable a satisfactory study of it. Histotechnology is an art by itself, requiring skill and knowledge on the part of the laboratory technician. The final product turned out by a technician can favorably or adversely influence the diagnosis. Hence, precision should be the way of life for a histotechnologist. |
