Abstract

The teaching of English India is matter of official language policy. English is the language of intra-national communication, of higher education and of administration. It is supposed to be the language of national awareness, a neutral language in a country where languages inflame passions. It is an associate official language of tire Indian republic and efforts to replace it by Hindi cause linguistic riots. We have for long used English for creative expression as well. English is big cultural issue in our country. If we know English, we are privileged in several ways.
