A Refresher Course of 21 Days for PGT (Physics) of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya ( Volume-2)

Abstract

A refresher course of 21 days for PGT Physics of Navodaya Vidyalaya was held at Regional Institute of Education, Ajmer (Rajasthan) from 5th june to 25th june, 2006. This program was undertaken on the request of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti New Delhi. NCERT brought out NCF 1988, 2000 and 2005. In the preparation of NCF 2005, major thrust has been envisaged based on "National Policy on Education (NPE 1986)", Programme of action (POA, 1992)" and the report "Learning without Burden" (1993). Learning without Burden emphasized that it was more a problem of comprehensibility than that of physical load. On this basis NCERT has suggested a new curriculum for class XI and XII. The syllabus is enclosed at the back of this report (Appendix I). On the basis of this new curriculum NCERT has come out with class Xlth Physics in two volumes and class XII book is under preparation.
