Abstract: The education in India is officially governed by the Ministry designated as Human Resource Development. It is, therefore, imperative that mother India take in her fold all the children to become truly resourceful. However, seemingly the children coming in the main stream of educational system, a major chunk of which are children belonging to the urban areas. With the renewed emphasis of RTE Act in recent times, children belonging to rural areas are also inching towards the mainstream of national education. In this wave of change, a majority of the tribal children are still in the trough.
