| Abstract: | The real purpose of education is to equip students with the potential to meet challenges in life. In order to face, meet and overcome the challenges of the outside world more effectively and efficiently in respect of the growing demands of today’s scenario, students need effective and impressive life skills. School/Institution plays an important role in overall development of students and acts as a means of socializing the students and nurturing the mental health to facilitate them to take their place as responsible citizens in a self-governing world. The vital role of personality in one’s success and growth can not be ignored; so complete focus should be given in the development of a child’s personality in each phase of the academic life by his/her family, school and teachers. To achieve the desired skills, the active involvement of the students has to be ensured. Active engagement involves enquiry, exploration, questioning, debate, application and reflection, leading to theory building and the creation of ideas. Schools/Institutions must provide opportunities to question, enquire, debate, reflect, and arrive at concepts or create new ideas. Study of life of eminent personalities show path to the students to deal with day to day problems. They also develop confidence by undertaking the ways by which the eminent personalities faced challenges in their life. Keeping above in view, it is proposed to organize Expression Series on Eminent Personalities in the School and Institute for the holistic development of the students. |
