Capacity Building Programme for KRPs Belonging to ST Dominated Areas in Teaching of Science in the Light of NCF-2005 at Secondary Level

Abstract

In the light of NCF 2005 the textbooks of Science for Classes IX and X were developed and in this process new concepts/activities were included in the textbooks to enable the learners to acquaint themselves with recent advances in Science. Hence capacity building of KRPs belonging to SI dominated areas for easy understanding and assimilation of the concepts of science is essential so that they can effectively run the teaching learning process as per requirement of the learners. Accordingly, a five days PAC approved programme entitled ‘Capacity Building Programme for KRPs belonging to ST dominated Areas in Teaching of Science in the Light of NCF-2005 at Secondary Level’ (PAC-15-08) was organized in two phases at RLE, NCERT, Ajmer. Phase I was organized from 13-17 Oct. 2014 for the KRPs of stale of .Jammu & Kashmir and Phase 11 was organized from 12-16 Jan. 2015 for the KRPs of state of Rajasthan. Programme was coordinated by Dr S.V. Sharma.
