| Abstract: | In-service teacher education plays a significant role in the professional growth of teachers and helps in changing the school-related practices. Participation in in-service training programmes helps teachers to gain confidence in engaging with their practices and reaffirming their experiences.Many existing teacher education programmes in India neither accommodate emerging ideas in content and pedagogy nor address the issue of linkages between school and society. There is little space for engagement with innovative educational experiments. |
