Abstract: In the early process of evolution, we have seen human beings live as an animal. They hunted other animals and ate raw meat, fruits, etc. At that time, they did not have sources of living and the life was not organized and systematic. But later on, they learned by unknown activities. They invented and discovered many sources to make life easy and comfortable for example fire, wheel, etc. After that they started living in groups to protect themselves from animals and other dangers which could harm them. So, as they learned things passively, there was a time when they started living in a permanent house, which gave them stability, where they followed a certain culture, prayed to god & goddesses. Where they had their own language for communication and to understand things. They learned to share the things, views and started to love, care for one other. They had developed norms and values which were followed by every member of groups that they had formed and they also started doing farming and trading of goods. So, they started living in a mannerly, disciplined society to survive easily in nature. This was the initiation of civilization. Then, they started writing and drawing signs on stones, rocks and leaves to keep the things permanent in their life and for a longer duration of time and for easy communication. Then they realized that there should be a guide and a head who would guide them and help them to learn things, so after many years the concept of teacher and student came. And that time studies were given in gurukuls and under the tree where the teacher was the guru. The teacher not only gave the knowledge but also trained the child to fulfill their basic needs in the society and for easy survival. So, after facing a lots of difficulties human beings were finally moving towards being civilized and these were some of the main steps towards the civilization. So, the civilization is a complex way of life which shows the living of a human being like shared methods of communication, administration and infrastructure, division of labour. Civilization: A civilization is a complex human society that may have certain characteristics of cultural and technological development. The word “civilization” relates to the Latin word “civitas” or “city”. This is why the most basic definition of the word “civilization” is “a society made up of cities.”
