| Abstract: | The practical work in school science education has been introduced in the middle of the 19th century and become integral part of it by now. Following the First World War many countries brought forth new education policies, which led to development of different courses worldwide. In the beginning of the 20th century many educational organizations, science educators and teachers the world over realized the importance of experimental work in the physics teaching. An excellent collection of 66 demonstration Experiments in physics” was prepared under the auspices of AAPT in 1938. After 1950 a major initiative in the U.S. was development of the Physical Science Study Curriculum (PSSC) and in 1960 introduction of Nuffield “O Level” courses in physics in England. |
