| Abstract: | National curriculum framework for School Education (NCFSE) 2000 states that integration of information and communication technology into schooling, would demand that the educational planners, educational administrators, teacher educators and teachers looks beyond the current urban classrooms, devises updated plans for education in an electronic environment even in the far flung rural areas and expands their designs so that the computer becomes more than a subject of study. Computers should be used in our day-to-day affairs, In Schools and Colleges Computers have a tremendous potential to be used as a teaching aid only. This fact should be kept in mind that Computers cannot replace a teacher. To achieve this, it is necessary to train educational administrators, teacher educators & teachers in the basics of Computer. So that they can understand the potential of new technology and effectively take part in changing the traditional learning atmosphere to a climate of exploration, problem solving and decision making as well as from prescriptive classroom teaching to participatory decentralized, interactive group of learning. The new courses should help teachers to acquire skills of using information technology as well as making the best use of Computer technology in curriculum transaction |
